Designed to coordinate with our Bubbles mural to continue the pattern onto a ceiling, this subtle print looks equally lovely on its own. It calls to mind fading seafoam or falling grains of sand, but without the larger mural for context it can also read as floating specks of dust, snow flurries, or tiny drops of beaded rain, all softly illuminated and suspended in motion. Like our Petals pattern, it’s enveloping in a gentle way, and it’s ideal for a quiet, calm environment.

Like most, this pattern began in Rebecca’s sketchbook. She was playing around with a new small brush and admiring the line quality. She started painting arched shapes that were reminiscent of clouds, which she then explored as a larger painting. We love that patterns can become the backdrop to our lives and help us create an environment. Inspired by the sky, this textural pattern will add atmosphere to a room. Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this indoor upholstery-weight fabric. Woven from a soft, nubby cotton-wool blend, each of the colors contains all the pigments Rebecca would use if she were mixing it with her paints. Neutral green CAMELLIA LEAF is inspired by the flowers in Rebecca’s yard and all over Charleston, with their creamy pink petals, dark foliage, and yellow-green buds—even a hint of blue sky. This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

This crisp midweight upholstery fabric can create a range of moods depending on the color you choose—from cool ones that give a space a light, breezy feeling to grounded ones that bring warmth. Rebecca wanted each one to look sunwashed. PALE GOLDENROD has a little ochre in it that makes it stronger than a butter yellow, but it’s faded and softer than our other goldenrods and as versatile as natural linen.
