This pattern was inspired by a picture Rebecca snapped of long grass while visiting Portland, Oregon. Travel heightens awareness of your surroundings and invites discovery. Rebecca remembers these long grasses leaning against one another, layering to create a rich texture. She started making a large painting and watched how the shapes connected and overlapped, and how the color could intertwine to create atmosphere. Use this fabric indoors or out. Lattices help guide rambling vines, and the diamonds of the structure can also add geometry and dimension to a garden. Here the pattern is reduced to a small scale and creates an easy texture for layering other patterns, colors, and textures against. Use this fabric indoors or out. We love a stripe. You can’t go wrong adding one to a space, and they can be a great way to tie together a color palette. Rebecca painted the original artwork for this pattern to test some colors she had mixed. She loved how this stripe turned out, and it reminded her how a thin stripe can be so easy to layer with anything. Stripes are also a great way to bring in color, whether tonal shades of green like the original she painted or a multi-colored palette. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

Use this fabric indoors or out. This design began as a larger painting on paper, playing with the shape of a simple flower. Rebecca pushed her brush onto the paper repetitively in different colors to create this field of blooms. After creating the original artwork, she enlarged the scale to add playfulness. For a more abstract layout, use this pattern on smaller pieces, like a pillow, or embrace the garden experience and use it on patio furniture or a kitchen banquette. This unfurling botanical pattern has an air of formality that owes not just to its classical motif but also to its very special texture. Made using a heritage French weaving technique called Liser é , this fabric uses our artisan-dyed warp yarn for the ground and a combination of two mercerized cotton yarns and a slub rayon yarn for the raised vine design. The result is a fabric that looks embroidered but in fact comes off the loom with an intricate allover pattern. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

This pattern was created from an original painting from Rebecca’s sketchbook, which like many of her designs, began as a mark-making exercise. Creating a motif from small dashes and dots is a simple practice that can start on the corner of a notebook during a meeting or a warm-up practice for a painting session. While mark-making is often an exercise Rebecca uses to center herself in the present moment, the results often become the seed of a new design. Designed to coordinate with our Bubbles mural to continue the pattern onto a ceiling, this subtle print looks equally lovely on its own. It calls to mind fading seafoam or falling grains of sand, but without the larger mural for context it can also read as floating specks of dust, snow flurries, or tiny drops of beaded rain, all softly illuminated and suspended in motion. Like our Petals pattern, it’s enveloping in a gentle way, and it’s ideal for a quiet, calm environment.

A small vintage fabric cutting Rebecca found in Tokyo, Japan inspired this fabric. It was a small-scale print that read geometric, but also like a floral. She loved this idea for a textural woven and redrew the motif, adding the softness of her hand and increasing the size so that it would translate well as a woven. She thought a lot about the landscape textures and how we need these textures in our home to create the environment that feels best to us. Use this fabric to cover a sofa in a field of flowers, but viewed at a distance for a soft and easy vibe.
