Rebecca Atwood Designs Bramble Fabric in Chroma

Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this indoor upholstery-weight fabric. Woven from a soft, nubby cotton-wool blend, each of the colors contains all the pigments Rebecca would use if she were mixing it with her paints. Chameleon CHROMA reads warm and neutral, almost like clay, with flashes of green, blue, yellow, and black. Rebecca pushed her brush onto the paper repetitively in different colors to create this field of blooms. After creating the original artwork, she enlarged the scale to add playfulness. Alder repeats an abstract dripping pattern that reminded Rebecca of the catkins of an alder tree. The single-color print allows our creamy nonwoven fiber paper ground to show through, enhancing its textured appearance. You expect it to feel like a pair of Japanese selvedge jeans when you touch it. PALE GOLDENROD is stronger than butter yellow, but it has a faded quality that makes it softer than our other goldenrods. Use it in place of natural linen to bring sunshine into a space.
