Rebecca Atwood Designs Alder Fabric in Eucalyptus

Alder repeats an abstract dripping pattern that reminded Rebecca of the catkins of an alder tree. The single-color print allows the linen ground (ivory or oatmeal, depending on the color) to show through, adding to its textured appearance—almost like a pair of Japanese selvedge jeans. Rebecca describes EUCALYPTUS as an almost invisible blue-green that can help meld any other greens and blues in a space. It’s a really nice color friend to our Park fabric in Daybreak. Rebecca painted the original artwork for this pattern to test some colors she had mixed. She loved how this stripe turned out, and it reminded her how a thin stripe can be so easy to layer with anything. Rebecca has been reflecting on the concepts of fields and hills. Looking out at the horizon, a landscape, or a panoramic view can be comforting.
