This pattern began as a series of closely spaced lines Rebecca painted in her sketchbook using a thin brush. With repetition, they grew into soft, organic arched shapes reminiscent of cumulus clouds and antique etchings. Her hand-painted lines and subtle variations come through on our wallpaper and add atmosphere to a room.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Scribble Wallpaper in Pale Blue
Rebecca wanted to design something soft and textural as if she had just slowly moved her brush up and down in small repetitive marks along a wall or across a piece of fabric—which is in fact how she painted this pattern but on a piece of paper. The soft texture created by a brush with only a bit of paint left on it creates a cozy soothing feeling, almost like white noise. Use this pattern like you would a grasscloth or texture. It’s soft and easy to mix with other patterns.

Rebecca Atwood Designs River Wallpaper in Cerulean
The simple pleasure of dragging a brush across a nice piece of paper never gets old to Rebecca. She loves watching how the paint and water absorb into parts of a surface and pool in others. Here she was using a wide brush that she got when visiting Japan, and the meandering strokes she made reminded her of a river. The long vertical strokes of this pattern add energy and height to a space. This wallpaper is a part of our Archive Collection.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Dotted Floral Wallpaper in Chambray Blue
This pattern was created from an original painting from Rebecca’s sketchbook, which like many of her designs, began as a mark-making exercise. Creating a motif from small dashes and dots is a simple practice that can start on the corner of a notebook during a meeting or a warm-up practice for a painting session. While mark-making is often an exercise Rebecca uses to center herself in the present moment, the results often become the seed of a new design. The radiating lines of this deconstructed floral shape feel celebratory and are sure to bring joy to any space.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Little Palm Wallpaper in Gray
When Rebecca painted this simple yet striking botanical pattern before she moved south, she loved the energy of its leaves. Now that she’s based in Charleston, it has taken on a distinctive coastal charm. We love that it can shift and assume so many other natural forms depending on the colorway you choose—a palm frond or a piece of coral. This wallpaper is a part of our Archive Collection.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Horizon Fabric in Shore
This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

Rebecca Atwood Designs Wildflower Fabric in Navy/Leaf
This pattern was meant to capture the joy of finding little patches of beauty in unexpected places. Rebecca painted the original artwork while working on a series of ideas for florals and drew inspiration for this iteration from the pop of color wildflowers bring to a grassy field and the charm of city flowers that manage to bloom through a crack in the concrete. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

Rebecca Atwood Designs Arches Fabric in Gray
Rebecca has been reflecting on the concepts of fields and hills. Looking out at the horizon, a landscape, or a panoramic view can be comforting. Round shapes are playful and evoke happiness, which is a feeling she always wants at home. She wanted to create something with round shapes, while also referencing the textures of grass, and the result was this pattern. It has movement to it and is airy and textural. This pattern will look great as drapery or on a larger piece of furniture. This fabric is a part of our Archive Collection.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Park Pillow in Pale Goldenrod
This crisp midweight upholstery fabric can create a range of moods depending on the color you choose—from cool ones that give a space a light, breezy feeling to grounded ones that bring warmth. Rebecca wanted each one to look sunwashed. PALE GOLDENROD has a little ochre in it that makes it stronger than a butter yellow, but it’s faded and softer than our other goldenrods and as versatile as natural linen. Fully bleach cleanable, Park can be used indoors or outdoors. For pillow fabric details please click here .
