A warm, white pigment that is lightfast and semi-opaque with a smooth texture, Kremer White is a signature white made by our friends Kremer Pigmente in Germany from zirconium oxide. All of our watercolors handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments and natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine and distilled water. Thursday, July 30, 5:00pm - 6:30pm PT This is an online workshop held via Zoom. Dorothy Hood was born in 1918 and spent her life in both Mexico and Texas. Her large abstract paintings are full of hard and soft edges, moments where the paint pools and gathers and places where the paint makes crisp lines and angles. Her colors are bold and inspired by the full range of colors found in both Mexico and Texas. With watercolors, we will play with some of Dorothy’s shapes by creating hard edges with tape, letting the watercolors be soft and blend, and create dynamic shapes with layered colors.
