Created by layering small brushmarks over an ink wash ground, it captures the movement of natural landscapes shaped by time. The subtle swirled direction of the marks references seeds dispersed by the wind, stones pushed onto the shore by waves, and dappled light filtering through leaves. Use this pattern in any space where you want to add quiet depth. The gestural texture offers warmth and beauty.

Use this fabric indoors or out. Throughout the years, Rebecca has explored long curved shapes in various ways and frequently doodled them in the corners of her notebooks. When she began to play with this linear shape for a woven, she explored how it could capture the way a breeze ripples through the spring air. By repeating this simple mark in varying darkness, she creates a pattern with movement. Some marks sink back into the ground of the cloth, where others pop against the background. We love the contrast in this concept: the result is graphic but evokes the idea of something we can’t see.

Alder repeats an abstract dripping pattern that reminded Rebecca of the catkins of an alder tree. The single-color print allows the linen ground (ivory or oatmeal, depending on the color) to show through, adding to its textured appearance—almost like a pair of Japanese selvedge jeans. Use this fabric indoors or out. A briar is a prickly shrub and often the word brings to mind wild roses. Rebecca loves that these plants are tough, but also beautiful. They grow along the beach near her childhood home and have survived hurricanes and nor’easters to bloom the next year.
