While mark-making is often an exercise Rebecca uses to center herself in the present moment, the results often become the seed of a new design. This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .
