Rebecca painted this large-scale landscape of Charleston’s Hampton Park from life while sitting there at a picnic table, which gives it a unique sense of spaciousness. Available in five different tonal colorways, it captures the full canopy of the oak trees and is imbued with her affection for the place, which comes through in her painterly gestures and gives it a special, romantic feeling.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Daydream Landscape Mural in Blue/Green

Daydream Landscape is our whimsical take on a classical landscape mural. Rebecca transformed the trees and vines, painting them as larger-than-life silhouettes set against a backdrop of patterned, rolling hills. Near ground level, the details are tight and intricate; as you look up, they fade gently into a cloudy canopy. Daydream Landscape sets an airy, creative mood that’s ideal for homes or commercial spaces.

Based on an original watercolor painting by Rebecca, this grid with moon shapes mixed in has a lovely balance of structure and fluidity. It’s a bit playful but still buttoned up. Our smooth clay-coated wallpaper retains the character of the original watercolor and ink. We designed it at a mid-size scale—not too tiny or too big—so it’s ideal for intimate applications such as in an entryway or powder room. Also available as a textile.

This dreamy, multi-colored pattern is an excellent bridge across color palettes. Inspired by natural shapes and her memories of a spring meadow, Rebecca painted this pattern at a large scale, focusing on details such as little seeds floating through the air and light-catching a leaf to capture the beauty in these organic forms.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Misty Morning Mural in Dark Green

Fantastical vines grow upward and gently fade into the soft, hazy expanse of this mural, which consists of three or four panels that are ideal for installing in a smaller space or even on a single wall. We love how the loose, painterly quality of Rebecca’s india ink brush strokes shows through, especially at the bottom where the leafy stems dissolve into the grass. Crop the panels at the “roots” of the plants for a grounded feeling, or let them branch down for a more whimsical one.

With its unfurling tendrils, this botanical wallcovering deserves to be used in smaller spaces like entryways and powder rooms where its details will be noticed. When Rebecca painted this simple yet striking botanical pattern before she moved south, she loved the energy of its leaves. Now that she’s based in Charleston, it has taken on a distinctive coastal charm. We love that it can shift and assume so many other natural forms depending on the colorway you choose—a palm frond or a piece of coral.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Long Grass Wallpaper in Pale Gray

This pattern was inspired by a picture Rebecca snapped of long grass while visiting Portland, Oregon. Travel heightens awareness of your surroundings and invites discovery. Rebecca remembers these long grasses leaning against one another, layering to create a rich texture. She started making a large painting and watched how the shapes connected and overlapped, and how the color could intertwine to create atmosphere. This pattern adds vertical movement and depth to a space. This wallpaper is a part of our Archive Collection.

This woven quality reminds Rebecca of needlepoint. Her great-aunt Libby was an avid needle-pointer and growing up, she had needlepoint seat cushions at her dining table, and little framed pieces hanging on the wall. Rebecca wanted to explore something graphic because the weave is so textural. She looked to small, geometric, vintage patterns – like the ones you’d find on the inside of a book cover. Alder repeats an abstract dripping pattern that reminded Rebecca of the catkins of an alder tree. The single-color print allows our creamy nonwoven fiber paper ground to show through, enhancing its textured appearance. You expect it to feel like a pair of Japanese selvedge jeans when you touch it. PALE GOLDENROD is stronger than butter yellow, but it has a faded quality that makes it softer than our other goldenrods. Use it in place of natural linen to bring sunshine into a space.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Breeze Fabric in Marine

Use this fabric indoors or out. Throughout the years, Rebecca has explored long curved shapes in various ways and frequently doodled them in the corners of her notebooks. When she began to play with this linear shape for a woven, she explored how it could capture the way a breeze ripples through the spring air. By repeating this simple mark in varying darkness, she creates a pattern with movement. Some marks sink back into the ground of the cloth, where others pop against the background.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Floret Pillow in Coral

Rebecca Atwood Designs Floret Pillow in Coral

A small vintage fabric cutting Rebecca found in Tokyo, Japan inspired this fabric. It was a small-scale print that read geometric but also like a floral. She loved this idea for a textural woven and redrew the motif, adding the softness of her hand and increasing the size so that it would translate well as a woven. She thought a lot about landscape textures and how we need these textures in our homes to create the environment that feels best to us. Use this fabric to cover a sofa in a field of flowers, but viewed at a distance for a soft and easy vibe.

Rebecca Atwood Designs Horizon Fabric in Shore

This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .
