These happy dots grew out of color studies in the pages of Rebecca’s sketchbooks. They play wonderfully well together, and can easily inspire the pattern for a whole room or smooth the transition from one space into another. This woven quality reminds Rebecca of needlepoint. Her great-aunt Libby was an avid needle-pointer and growing up, she had needlepoint seat cushions at her dining table, and little framed pieces hanging on the wall. Rebecca wanted to explore something graphic because the weave is so textural. She looked to small, geometric, vintage patterns – like the ones you’d find on the inside of a book cover. A new, smaller take on our signature Hills pattern, which originated as a potato print. Screen printed on linen, the rounded shapes are graphic yet harmonious. The subtle, expressive texture and slight variation in saturation come from the stamping motion of the original artwork. The smaller scale makes the pattern more textural and easy to layer. Carefree blossoms hover as if on a breeze in this offset geometric design. We love how the trellis of dotted lines on which they grow also resembles the path of a meandering walk. The overall effect is an easygoing spring feeling that’s perpetually in bloom.

Use this fabric indoors or out. A briar is a prickly shrub and often the word brings to mind wild roses. Rebecca loves that these plants are tough, but also beautiful. They grow along the beach near her childhood home and have survived hurricanes and nor’easters to bloom the next year. The small crosses also remind her of the first seedlings popping through the dirt when herbs are planted in little pots. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

This unfurling botanical pattern has an air of formality that owes not just to its classical motif but also to its very special texture. Made using a heritage French weaving technique called Liser é , this fabric uses our artisan-dyed warp yarn for the ground and a combination of two mercerized cotton yarns and a slub rayon yarn for the raised vine design. The result is a fabric that looks embroidered but in fact comes off the loom with an intricate allover pattern. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this indoor upholstery-weight fabric. Woven from a soft, nubby cotton-wool blend, each of the colors contains all the pigments Rebecca would use if she were mixing it with her paints. Neutral green CAMELLIA LEAF is inspired by the flowers in Rebecca’s yard and all over Charleston, with their creamy pink petals, dark foliage, and yellow-green buds—even a hint of blue sky.
