Ruth Nguyen louver
Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? If so, this pattern was in your Winter 2022 box. "Garter stripes and slipped stitches let filtered chinks of light shine through the fabric of this modern scarf/wrap. Alternating between lush Tern and laceweight Piper, the resulting accessory shows off the minimalist interplay of luminosity and shadow. The fingering weight yarn acts as a frame, lending structure to the haloed bands of lighter yarn. The architectural lines and plain edges strip away distractions for a raw, industrial feel." …

Stone Wool alice
This pattern is available for FREE with any purchase of Stone Wool Border Leicester . Alice is a squishy-soft, generously sized crescent shawl, knitted in yarn spun from Border Leicester, a lustrous, soft and silky fiber. Worked mostly in humble garter stitch, it makes a buoyant, inviting shawl for wrapping up in. The border’s lace pattern requires working the pattern on every row, not just right-side rows. But take heart: There aren’t so many stitches in the border panel and the knitting steps are predictable.

Quince & Co. dust jacket kit
The history of the dust jacket can be traced back to the mid-19th century as a means to shield books from dust and wear. As the 19th century progressed, publishers began to recognize the potential of the outer book cover as a promotional tool. For two more centuries, the dust jacket would continue to evolve and remains one of the most collectible assets of a book. The Dust Jacket Kit pays homage to its humble beginnings. The jacket body is worked in our sweet Chickadee using the linen stitch. The piece can be customized to fit your most treasured literary masterpiece.

Mari Lynn Patrick city
A trip to an iconic Fifth Ave, New York menswear shop brought about an idea for a classic rib beanie worked in luxurious, semi-bulky, yet lightweight Osprey yarn. Adding one (or two) stitches in the wide rib all around can change the style back to a man's hat (where you borrowed it from his shelf in the first place).

Stone Wool dunedin
Few stitch patterns provide as much satisfaction as simple knit-and-purl combinations, especially when worked in a plump, round yarn like Stone Wool Corriedale. The contrast between purl bumps and flat Vs stands out nicely. This pullover started out as a kind of sampler, with same-size bands of the different stitch patterns, but it ended up using an elongated check pattern for the entire body and a smaller broken rib pattern in the yoke. One never knows where an idea will lead. If you love knit-and-purl patterns as much as I do, feel free to substitute your favorites for the ones in Dunedin.
