Quince & Co. georgia slipover knit kit

Canadian designer and friend Alison Lee of the Stitch Whisperer brings us her delightful spring slipover, Georgia, knit in our extra fine merino Phoebe . Knit from the top down, Alison offers 3 different neck styles: Crew, Mock and Turtleneck. A subtle (optional) lace leaf motif at the shoulders flows into a bold diamond cable along the front, framing a scattering of playful colorwork dots. The back echoes this dot motif with an all-over field of vibrant color, creating a cohesive design from every angle. We love how Alison seamlessly weaves texture and colorwork into every design detail .

"A sinuous, wave-inspired pattern of eyelets and stockinette bend and travel across a textured ground of garter stitch. Knit up in hearty linen Kestrel , Zephyrus is equally well-suited to adorn your summer table or to shield your shoulders from an evening breeze. The matching i-cord cast on and bind off create delightfully substantial finished edges." - designer, Emily Greene Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? "This wrap marries brioche stitch and simple lace in a design that came together as I was foraging in the local hedgerows for natural dye materials. The scrim of twiglets became a mesh of simple lace with clusters of bundled stitches, and branching lines of brioche flow through the wrap from one end to the other." - designer, Sarah Pope. Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? If so, this pattern was in your Spring 2022 box. "This soft and warm tubular cowl is just the thing for some early morning bird watching, to wear or to knit. It starts with an unusual step: a long strip of lace, which is joined end-to-end to form a ring. The stitches of the cowl are picked up around one edge of this ring and worked in the round as a narrow tube until the cowl reaches its desired length.
