Rebecca has been reflecting on the concepts of fields and hills. Looking out at the horizon, a landscape, or a panoramic view can be comforting. This pattern was created from an original painting from Rebecca’s sketchbook, which like many of her designs, began as a mark-making exercise. Creating a motif from small dashes and dots is a simple practice that can start on the corner of a notebook during a meeting or a warm-up practice for a painting session. While mark-making is often an exercise Rebecca uses to center herself in the present moment, the results often become the seed of a new design. The radiating lines of this deconstructed floral shape feel celebratory and are sure to bring joy to any space.
