This pattern began as a large painting. Rebecca experimented with a resist technique and dotted each larger circle with smaller marks. The resulting motifs referenced radial patterns found in the natural world, from flowers to sand dollars, as well as the passage of time. With several individual colors to match within it, this multi-colored design works well as the start of a scheme or as a bridge to tie colors in your existing scheme together. This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .
