It's our answer for everything and has two of our favorite coffees—a washed processed Ethiopian & Colombian. This blend has become one of our favorite coffees. We love it as a filter coffee, and we love it as espresso. And not only does is it taste great as either but it's easy to dial in as espresso or filter.

Juan is a second-generation farmer who has been cultivating coffee for over 40 years on his 16-hectare farm, El Porvenir, in Palestina, Huila. His expertise and early investment in the Pink Bourbon cultivar have earned him recognition and awards within the specialty coffee community. We have been purchasing his coffee for years, which will come at no surprise after tasting this microlot with its structured acidities and pungent notes of sweet lemon and grapefruit.

Gabriel Castaño Buendía’s La Granada in Acevedo, Huila is one of the farms that helped define Pink Bourbon in southern Colombia. A longtime producer known for both quality and generosity, Gabriel has shared plant material and knowledge with growers across the region. This lot was fermented whole in cherry for 90 hours, then rinsed and mechanically dried for a vibrant, structured cup.

Mustefa Abakeno is a producer and exporter based in Beshasha, Agaro, where he cultivates 18 hectares of coffee and operates washing stations that serve dozens of neighboring smallholders. An early adopter of Ethiopia’s direct export model, he is known for meticulous processing, particularly slow, shaded dryingl that preserves clarity and aromatic complexity. His washed coffees are especially prized for their refined structure and vibrant, evolving cup profile.

This natural lot from Elshadai Estate in Kiambu County may mark the farm’s final harvest, as rising land value near Nairobi threatens its future. Discovered by Kenyan coffee professional Judy Murimi, the coffee underwent an estimated two-day anaerobic fermentation before drying on raised beds. With layered sweetness and gentle fruit complexity, it offers a compelling profile while being a tribute to a disappearing coffee landscape.
