While visiting Zihuatanejo, Mexico, Rebecca painted playful patterns in her sketchbook inspired by the relaxed vibe of the coastal town. The fabric was woven in India, the dotted dash motif was hand screen printed, and finally the circles embroidered. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

This woven quality reminds Rebecca of needlepoint. Her great-aunt Libby was an avid needle-pointer and growing up, she had needlepoint seat cushions at her dining table, and little framed pieces hanging on the wall. Rebecca wanted to explore something graphic because the weave is so textural. She looked to small, geometric, vintage patterns – like the ones you’d find on the inside of a book cover. Designed to coordinate with our Bubbles mural to continue the pattern onto a ceiling, this subtle print looks equally lovely on its own. It calls to mind fading seafoam or falling grains of sand, but without the larger mural for context it can also read as floating specks of dust, snow flurries, or tiny drops of beaded rain, all softly illuminated and suspended in motion. Like our Petals pattern, it’s enveloping in a gentle way, and it’s ideal for a quiet, calm environment.

Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this indoor upholstery-weight fabric. Woven from a soft, nubby cotton-wool blend, each of the colors contains all the pigments Rebecca would use if she were mixing it with her paints. Neutral green CAMELLIA LEAF is inspired by the flowers in Rebecca’s yard and all over Charleston, with their creamy pink petals, dark foliage, and yellow-green buds—even a hint of blue sky. Use this fabric indoors or out. A briar is a prickly shrub and often the word brings to mind wild roses. Rebecca loves that these plants are tough, but also beautiful. They grow along the beach near her childhood home and have survived hurricanes and nor’easters to bloom the next year.
