Gertrude Swan was our limited-edition animal for Holiday 2023! Gertrude Swan, first of her name, is a swan princess. As such, she considers the needs of her subjects: do the caterpillars have enough milkweed growing for next year? Would the ducks and frogs appreciate a Jingle Dance performance with her special boots? That kind of thing.

Doll Cyril Dragon
Cyril Dragon was a limited-edition visitor for Holiday 2024! In a cloud of smoke and mist, with a “Whoosh!” and a hiss of steam, CYRIL DRAGON alights upon the Hazel Village sledding hill. The woodland friends bring him welcome gifts of tiny posies and a silver spoon that they found in the forest. Cyril declares, “These treasures will be perfect for my hoard. Thank you, friends!” Cyril Dragon is handmade from organic cotton fleece.
Doll Vera Hedgehog
Vera Hedgehog was a limited-edition visitor from Fall of 2021 & Spring 2023 Vera Hedgehog trundles through the forest with her backpack, looking for good decorations for her hedgehog house. Like colorful leaves, smooth sticks, and snail shells with interesting patterns. “It can never be too frilly,” she declares.
Doll Ella Toad
Ella Toad likes to play Frog Ball, so she wears special red booties to shield her webbed feet from the impact. Then, when she gets hungry for waterlily bulbs, she hangs her booties from a shrub and paddles into the pond barefoot. Ella Toad is 13" tall, suitable for all ages, and will arrive at your home swaddled in our complimentary gift wrap. She was designed with love in our Brooklyn workshop, and handmade with care by our artisan partners in Nepal. Ella is made from organic cotton and stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfill.

Charlotte Bear is our 2022 limited-edition visitor! Fast asleep in her cozy hollow tree, Charlotte heard a loud pots-and-pans orchestra. It was the other animals, celebrating Wake-Up Day. Spring was coming! Charlotte woke up, and the animals shared their Springtime Breakfast with her.

Clara Otter was a limited-edition visitor from Summer of 2024! Splash! Splish! That is Clara Otter. She’s enjoying the cool stream waters - practicing flips, hunting for gleaming bits of river detritus, and finding freshwater mussels which might have pearls in them. She declares, “You never know!” Clara Otter is handmade from soft organic cotton fleece. She has lovingly hand-embroidered details, fuzzy natural cotton sherpa cheek patches, and special-shaped paws for grabbing slippery rocks and shells.

The Hazel Village animals always name their dollies, and this mini tree frog is called Flowers. Flowers is made from smooth organic cotton and hand-embroidered with charming details. Clover was our limited-edition returning Villager for Holiday 2020! When Clover Horse smells the first snow of winter on the air, her ears prick up because she can’t wait to stomp her hooves through the clean snow, making a crunchy track behind her as she trots down the road and her jingling bells ring over the hillside. Florence Bat was a 2023 limited-edition visitor! Sometimes, gliding among the starlit trees, Florence hears the soft wavelets of a forest pool. And sometimes she settles by the mossy bank for a minute, snacking on night bugs and thinking about this and that: her cozy cave, when the moon will rise, her new hat with flowers on it.
Doll Zoe Rabbit
Zoe Rabbit is converting part of the stream bank into a rock garden. It’s slimy work, she says, but somebody’s got to do it. Possibly. She’s building minnow pools into the lower levels, and a terrace higher up. Yesterday she saw two beautiful orange newts. Zoe Rabbit measures 13" tall from her paws to the top of her head. She is suitable for all ages, and will arrive at your home swaddled in our complimentary gift wrap. Ivy Goat was our returning visitor in 2022! When Ivy Goat sees the dewy meadows of spring, she runs to them and does a little dance, waving all of her hooves in the air. Her animal friends copy her dance, because they understand her mood.

Doll Marigold Donkey
Marigold Donkey was a visiting friend from Summer of 2025! Marigold Donkey wants you to know that Golden Alexander, a meadow flower, is the favorite food of swallowtail caterpillars. Sometimes when she’s observing butterflies, she snacks on golden Alexander blossoms, or picks them for her salad later. Marigold Donkey is handmade from gray, black, and white organic cotton fleece, and stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfill. Her face is hand-embroidered with cotton embroidery thread, and her tall ears are lined in pale pink linen. Marigold’s mane and her tufted tail are made from black wool yarn.
