This loose, painterly plaid started as a holiday card that Rebecca drew in watercolor pencil. She loved how the hazy effect of the pencil created a multicolor stripe that’s bright but livable and versatile. Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this grasscloth wallcovering. Printed at a slightly larger scale than our Bramble woven fabric, it has a nice texture and a subtle sheen, almost like raw silk. BLUE RIPPLE reads like a cool, glistening body of water; up close you see it’s composed of an array of blues, from navy to teal to cloud blue, with hints of green.

Use this fabric indoors or out. We love a stripe. You can’t go wrong adding one to a space, and they can be a great way to tie together a color palette. Rebecca painted the original artwork for this pattern to test some colors she had mixed. She loved how this stripe turned out, and it reminded her how a thin stripe can be so easy to layer with anything. This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

A small vintage fabric cutting Rebecca found in Tokyo, Japan inspired this fabric. It was a small-scale print that read geometric, but also like a floral. She loved this idea for a textural woven and redrew the motif, adding the softness of her hand and increasing the size so that it would translate well as a woven. She thought a lot about the landscape textures and how we need these textures in our home to create the environment that feels best to us. Use this fabric to cover a sofa in a field of flowers, but viewed at a distance for a soft and easy vibe.

Designed to coordinate with our Bubbles mural to continue the pattern onto a ceiling, this subtle print looks equally lovely on its own. It calls to mind fading seafoam or falling grains of sand, but without the larger mural for context it can also read as floating specks of dust, snow flurries, or tiny drops of beaded rain, all softly illuminated and suspended in motion. A simple plaid, this design started as a meditative practice to begin a painting session. Rebecca used India Ink, overlaying the same wash of ink to create a basket-like weave. The subtle darkening that occurs when one long stripe crosses over the next was pleasing to watch. Reminiscent of fencing, it calls to mind the different structures we use to tame nature within a garden. The repetition and structure they provide feel settling. Use this fabric indoors or out. Throughout the years, Rebecca has explored long curved shapes in various ways and frequently doodled them in the corners of her notebooks. When she began to play with this linear shape for a woven, she explored how it could capture the way a breeze ripples through the spring air. By repeating this simple mark in varying darkness, she creates a pattern with movement. Some marks sink back into the ground of the cloth, where others pop against the background.
