This fabric is intended for indoor use. For our first “solid” fabric, Rebecca wanted something that would be durable and a great basic, but that also made it easier to layer within a color palette—or even build one from. We rarely see flat colors in big swaths in nature. Our natural world is so complex. We see a field of grass, but it’s full of tonal variation and movement. She wanted to explore this concept in an upholstery fabric as if you covered your sofa in a natural landscape. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

Use this fabric indoors or out. This design began as a larger painting on paper, playing with the shape of a simple flower. Rebecca pushed her brush onto the paper repetitively in different colors to create this field of blooms. After creating the original artwork, she enlarged the scale to add playfulness. For a more abstract layout, use this pattern on smaller pieces, like a pillow, or embrace the garden experience and use it on patio furniture or a kitchen banquette. Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this indoor upholstery-weight fabric. Woven from a soft, nubby cotton-wool blend, each of the colors contains all the pigments Rebecca would use if she were mixing it with her paints. DEWDROP GREEN reminds Rebecca of water beaded on blades of grass. It can appear as a springy blue or green, depending on the light, and is easy to layer with our other blues and greens. This unfurling botanical pattern has an air of formality that owes not just to its classical motif but also to its very special texture. Made using a heritage French weaving technique called Liser é , this fabric uses our artisan-dyed warp yarn for the ground and a combination of two mercerized cotton yarns and a slub rayon yarn for the raised vine design.
