After casting on along the long side of the rectangle, the scarf is worked horizontally, beginning and ending with a 3×3 ribbed band at the base and top of the scarf. “I love chevrons! I cannot get enough. I particularly love how they distort a seemingly straightforward row of knitting into spectacular peaks and valleys. Pair a chevron with the humble stripe and boom! My knitter’s heart beats a little faster. Taking into account that chevrons don’t make a rectangular shape on their own, I have helped them out by filling in the corners.
