In part three* of our three part series on watercolor basics, we will play around with surface tension, loosening up and how to intentionally use wet on wet techniques to achieve amazing effects in our watercolor paintings. You will leave with a series of wet-on-wet studies, and a stronger understanding of how to create depth and atmosphere in your work. * You do not need to have attended Part 1 or Part 2 to join Part 3!

This workshop will focus on a few basics of having and using gouache, I will show how I use gouache, we will touch on some basics around what sets it apart from watercolor, how to build a palette using honey and a watercolor tin and then we will work on paintings using a still life that will be softly lit either inside or outside in the backyard with the changing evening light to work on layering and color mixing.
