Use this fabric indoors or out. A briar is a prickly shrub and often the word brings to mind wild roses. Rebecca loves that these plants are tough, but also beautiful. They grow along the beach near her childhood home and have survived hurricanes and nor’easters to bloom the next year. The small crosses also remind her of the first seedlings popping through the dirt when herbs are planted in little pots. This fabric is available as a pillow here .

This crisp midweight upholstery fabric can create a range of moods depending on the color you choose—from cool ones that give a space a light, breezy feeling to grounded ones that bring warmth. Rebecca wanted each one to look sunwashed. PALE GOLDENROD has a little ochre in it that makes it stronger than a butter yellow, but it’s faded and softer than our other goldenrods and as versatile as natural linen. A small vintage fabric cutting Rebecca found in Tokyo, Japan inspired this fabric. It was a small-scale print that read geometric, but also like a floral. She loved this idea for a textural woven and redrew the motif, adding the softness of her hand and increasing the size so that it would translate well as a woven. She thought a lot about the landscape textures and how we need these textures in our home to create the environment that feels best to us. Use this fabric to cover a sofa in a field of flowers, but viewed at a distance for a soft and easy vibe.

Rebecca has been reflecting on the concepts of fields and hills. Looking out at the horizon, a landscape, or a panoramic view can be comforting. Round shapes are playful and evoke happiness, which is a feeling she always wants at home.
