Participants will choose a weight that challenges them (60, 80, or 100 lbs) and carry it for 1 mile as fast as they can. Break the mile up into four 1/4 mile laps and chug one 12 oz. beer before each lap. Four laps, four beers, best time wins! Don't like mixing beer and cardio? Check out the Heavy Mile here . Details Chug a beer, then do a 1/4 mile lap. Don’t pace yourself. Go all out! Do this 4 times total. Track your time…it’s fun to track your improvement. Results definitely show if you're getting too lopsided in your training/life balance.

This kind of ruck march has been historically utilized by the US Army, and it’s an excellent opportunity to get your mind right, work on your pace, and test the gear you’ve chosen for GORUCK’s Heavy, Tough, or City Ruck events. You’ll need to either maintain a 17:30 minute pace the entire time or intersperse some ruck shuffles with your regular rucking pace in order to make the time hack of 3.5 hours.
