Use this fabric indoors or out. A briar is a prickly shrub and often the word brings to mind wild roses. Rebecca loves that these plants are tough, but also beautiful. They grow along the beach near her childhood home and have survived hurricanes and nor’easters to bloom the next year. Rebecca has been reflecting on the concepts of fields and hills. Looking out at the horizon, a landscape, or a panoramic view can be comforting. Round shapes are playful and evoke happiness, which is a feeling she always wants at home. She wanted to create something with round shapes, while also referencing the textures of grass, and the result was this pattern. It has movement to it and is airy and textural. Designed to coordinate with our Bubbles mural to continue the pattern onto a ceiling, this subtle print looks equally lovely on its own. It calls to mind fading seafoam or falling grains of sand, but without the larger mural for context it can also read as floating specks of dust, snow flurries, or tiny drops of beaded rain, all softly illuminated and suspended in motion.
