Rebecca pushed her brush onto the paper repetitively in different colors to create this field of blooms. After creating the original artwork, she enlarged the scale to add playfulness. Use this fabric indoors or out. A small vintage fabric cutting Rebecca found in Tokyo, Japan inspired this fabric. It was a small-scale print that read geometric but also like a floral. She loved this idea for a textural woven and redrew the motif, adding the softness of her hand and increasing the size so that it would translate well as a woven. She thought a lot about landscape textures and how we need these textures in our homes to create the environment that feels best to us. Use this fabric to cover a sofa in a field of flowers, but viewed at a distance for a soft and easy vibe.

This unfurling botanical pattern has an air of formality that owes not just to its classical motif but also to its very special texture. Made using a heritage French weaving technique called Liser é , this fabric uses our artisan-dyed warp yarn for the ground and a combination of two mercerized cotton yarns and a slub rayon yarn for the raised vine design.
