This beautiful bluish-black is made entirely from charred grape seeds! It's fascinating how many natural black pigments derive from charred plants, bone, or fruit pits— so simple, but such a range of color and texture depending on the materials used! All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!
