The Stafford Tie is made of fabric from our friends at American Woolen, the weaving mill that created our Navy Wool Hopsack cloth for The American Blazer . The Connecticut mill has been weaving since 1853 and since modernized with machinery from the United States, Italy, Japan, and Switzerland. We’re proud to call them a manufacturing partner. After the fabric is created, our ties are handcrafted by a highly-skilled team of artisans in a specialty neckwear factory.

American Trench The Interlock Tee
It wears like the classics but outlasts the greats. The Interlock Tee is a 100% American-made product. The fabric is knit in North Carolina, cut and sewn in Pennsylvania, and washed out to a finished garment in New York for a perfect fit. Interlock is a double knit construction with back loops knit together and alternating wales. The front and back sides of the fabric are identical and smooth. Interlock is thicker and denser (with almost double the yarn), and more stable than plain jersey fabric. It doesn't curl at the edges and holds its shape to always look new.

We made seven different samples to dial it in. A bound neck holds shape over time and maintains the integrity of the tee. With a straight body, midcentury-inspired sleeve length, and square chest pocket, it’s built to wear well and last long. Made possible by an antique sewing machine, our pocket tee is finished with a ladder-style Merrow stitch at the pocket and hems.
