Azure Get your mind lost in blue skies and white puffy clouds after using this aquatic chypre. The idea of a modern “blue barbershop” has been stuck in my head for years. I started with the usual suspects of bergamot, lavender, geranium, petitgrain, synthetic moss, and coumarin. To turn it to a modernized “blue” scent I enlisted the help of aquatic notes, muguet, musks, a healthy overload of hedione and a kiss of ambroxan. I then added a bit of a specialty extract of labdanum called hydrocarboresine and it wound up turning into this beautiful aquatic chypre I'm offering you today.

The release of this was right on time...like clockwork. I think the 'droogs' would approve of this. L'Orange Verte is a soft (not weak), sophisticated, clean and complex citrus forward scent with some earthiness to it. I added two different types of orange notes, as well as lemon and bergamot. The black pepper gives it a nice twist & dimension, as does the lavender note. The oakmoss base is warm and inviting. I really love how this came out and think this will be considered among our top soaps.
