Worked from the bottom up, the straightforward construction provides knitters with sizing and proportion options on both body and sleeves, making it easy to create the fit that’s just right for you. The deep 2x2 ribbed yoke begins below the chest level for a flattering overall proportion and the pullover’s plain stockinette lower section, and simple 1x1 ribbed trims keep the focus on the beautiful shaping details of the yoke.

"This cozy sweater beautifully blends the comfort of a classic oversized cardigan with thoughtful design details to create a flattering and easy-to-wear garment. The deep raglan yoke enhances both comfort and ease of movement, while the trim length of the lower body maintains a clean silhouette. A curved hem, crafted with short rows, allows the cardigan to sit slightly lower at the back for a tailored fit. The wide, blousy sleeves offer freedom of movement, tapering dramatically at the wrists for a sleek, flattering finish. Tailoring darts at the waist and back neck further refine the fit.

Brooklyn Tweed Willamette
For gorgeous gift knitting, try Willamette, a deeply textured scarf with a reversible motif of cabled diamonds over garter stitch. There’s a chart for the A side and another for the B side; alternate knitting a row from each and you’ll end up with a beautifully patterned fabric that’s different but equally arresting on both sides. Willamette is active knitting with cables on every row, but the geometric motifs are predictable and easy to track. The pattern can be worked in Shelter for oversized coziness or in Loft for a scarf of more traditional scale.

Brooklyn Tweed Rook
“During the design process, my aim was to create a timeless garment containing both traditional and modern features. I chose a diamond motif with moss stitch that I saw in a fisherman’s sweater because not only is it a beautifully textured stitch, but I can also use it either as a single line of diamonds (as in the sleeve) or a line of multiple diamonds (as in the body). Instead of having a traditional vertical line of purl stitches on either side, I used stockinette stitch to encircle the motif to keep the whole design clean and simple. The sweater is knit top down.

Brooklyn Tweed Spearheads
A bold Icelandic-style yoke printed with a spirograph of interlacing chevrons is striking on anybody. Spearheads knits up lightning fast in two high-contrast colors of Quarry to fend off the winter chill. We paired Gypsum with Lazulite and Hematite; imagine the yoke in Citrine on a background of Obsidian or marry Slate with Sandstone for a mellow contrast. Reversing the dark and light colors should be equally successful. Choose single or double rib for the hem, cuffs and neckband according to your liking. Pattern includes unisex sizing. Brooklyn Tweed Leander
Leander begins with twisted rib, morphing into a traveling current of brioche rib shaped to follow a sinuous course by a combination of decorative increases and decreases. This directional shaping also lends gentle curves along the scarf’s outer edges, fluidly framing the neck and the shoulders when draped. Worked in woolen-spun Shelter, Leander makes for a gratifying combination of tactile indulgence and lofty warmth. This scarf is worked in two pieces, each from the cast-on edge to the center; the pieces are then joined. The long edges are finished with a knit-in I-cord edging.

The Tilda Cardigan takes a great basic shape and embellishes it with whimsical details. The column of eyelets along each side seam begins at the hem and flows directly into the raglan lines on both fronts and back. The stockinette button band is flanked on either side by a pair of simple cables, while the garment’s body and three-quarter sleeves are trimmed with an optional contrasting color rolled edge. The generous scoop neck begs to be styled with shirts featuring interesting collars (or cowls).
