Spring and Summer are seasons of renewal, growth, and transformation—as evidenced by the vibrant colors that pop up in the landscape, the fresh produce we harvest from our gardens, and the days we finally allow ourselves to unplug and reconnect with our creativity. As the seasons shift from one to the other, what’s on our needles follows suit as well. Warmer weather calls for lighter-weight yarns, flowy tops, and oh-so-airy wraps, to name a few.

Various Designers Matter
As one of the softest and strongest plant-based fibers around, cotton is a crowd-pleaser for knitters and fiber crafters alike. We especially love our cotton and cotton blend yarns for summer knits—from flowy dresses to classic tanks to comfy pullovers. And, by spinning these yarns with GOTS-certified organic, Texas-grown cotton, we are proud to support farmers who take a more responsible, earth and people-friendly approach to growing this plant. In the Matter Collection, we’re pleased to offer a cool and comfy collection of lightweight summer knits.

What do you love most about fall? As knitters, we love this season for a variety of reasons—including, of course, our continued love for all things wool. When knitwear designer Pam Allen launched Quince & Co. back in the fall of 2010, she did so with four wool yarns in four different weights and 37 colors, followed by a fifth the following fall; fast forward to 2022, and we carry over 60 colors in our core wool collection, spanning across five yarn lines. This year, we re-visit our beloved yarns that started it all, in a collection that sparks both curiosity and comfort.

Quince & Co. dust jacket kit
The history of the dust jacket can be traced back to the mid-19th century as a means to shield books from dust and wear. As the 19th century progressed, publishers began to recognize the potential of the outer book cover as a promotional tool. For two more centuries, the dust jacket would continue to evolve and remains one of the most collectible assets of a book. The Dust Jacket Kit pays homage to its humble beginnings. The jacket body is worked in our sweet Chickadee using the linen stitch. The piece can be customized to fit your most treasured literary masterpiece.
