A Vogue Knitting Live! showstopper! Brooklyn based designer, Alexis Winslow presents Chromia. Worked in Osprey, Chromia offers the warmth of a hood and the practicality of a scarf, knit in plush garter stitch that drapes comfortably around the neck and shoulders. The hood is worked in one piece from one scarf tip to the other scarf tip, with a built-in border that combines an i-cord edging and a subtle slipped-stitch detail. Bold stripes are created using a simple intarsia technique.

Alexis Winslow vallo
Alexis creates another head-turning design with the Vallo cowl, knit in our luxurious, DK weight Phoebe yarn. An entertaining project from start-to-finish, it features graphic, all-over colorwork and interesting angles. Its generous silhouette slips over one or both shoulders and fits comfortably around the neck for a divinely cozy effect. Worked from the bottom up, its central decrease causes the piece to grow smaller as you knit. And with every completed round, the momentum builds—you won’t be able to put this project down!

Brooklyn Tweed Escher
Unwind and keep warm without abandoning your modern sensibility. Alexis Winslow is known for her bold, graphic designs, and here she’s turned a cozy, short-sleeved batwing coat into a striking statement piece. Despite its generous dimensions, Escher flatters the figure with a colorblock triangle as the slimming focal point and deep ribbing that slants across the hips. The back is worked sideways from a provisional cast on and shaped with short rows; the fabric is then joined to work each sleeve cuff in the round.

Brooklyn Tweed Collomia
The on-trend silhouette of the Collomia pullover offers a dramatic canvas for a timeless stranded colorwork yoke. The woolen-spun texture of Shelter yarn softens the bold stripes and ornate snowflake motifs.
