This striped cotton pullover is knit top-down in the round with round-yoke shaping and a gentle A-line silhouette. Made in soft, worsted weight organic Whimbrel, it features contrast stripe details at the cuffs and subtle short rows to shape the neckline. A note about our dyed cotton: Some colors may show dye runoff during blocking or washing, especially with highly saturated colors; this is normal. It's very important to wash and block your striped swatch to check for colorfastness.

Few stitch patterns provide as much satisfaction as simple knit-and-purl combinations, especially when worked in a plump, round yarn like Stone Wool Corriedale. The contrast between purl bumps and flat Vs stands out nicely. This pullover started out as a kind of sampler, with same-size bands of the different stitch patterns, but it ended up using an elongated check pattern for the entire body and a smaller broken rib pattern in the yoke. One never knows where an idea will lead. If you love knit-and-purl patterns as much as I do, feel free to substitute your favorites for the ones in Dunedin.
