The Lucy Compass Surface has a sweet country spirit inspired by vintage woodenware and spindle furniture. Namesake: Nicknamed “the orator”, the “morning star” and the “heart and soul” of the women’s rights movement, Lucy Stone (1818-1893) was a pioneer in the suffragist movement and lectured against slavery. Lucy advocated for equal pay for women and was the first woman in Massachusetts to earn a college degree.
