Forever a flower child, the Ikebana collection evolved from the minimalist ceramic stands studio founder Michelle Aaro made to display sprigs gathered from summer walks. Dried botanicals gave way to hand-sculpted flowers, a nod to the 70s copper sculptures from her childhood and her love of metalsmithing.

Every Kakishibu shade is made from sheets of washi that have been hand-dyed with traditional kakishibu dye and then painted with black sumi ink and white pigment in an abstract pattern.
