Our Seneca and Stanton designs pair clean lines with richly handcrafted materials—brownstone ceramic elements made for us by Pratt + Larson tile studio, combined with American hardwoods and solid brass parts. Brownstone White glaze has variations and imperfections inherent to the artisan craft process. All fixtures are hand-made to order. Namesake: The Seneca Falls Convention was the first women's rights convention in the United States. The 1848 meeting launched the women's suffrage movement.

The exclusive Japanese washi paper shades are handcrafted for us by a 90-year-old chōchin lantern atelier in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan—a region renowned for its washi paper heritage. Made from thick, premium washi, each shade embodies the depth and elegance of Japanese artistry. Every Kakishibu shade is made from sheets of washi that have been hand-dyed with traditional kakishibu dye and then painted with black sumi ink and white pigment in an abstract pattern.

Solid brass sample sealed with lacquer. Our lacquered brass is a beautiful, low-maintenance finish compared to raw or waxed brass. Our lacquer coating will slow but not completely stop the natural aging process of brass. Our fixtures will slowly darken and age over many years or decades. We encourage clients to order finish samples as color representation may vary from screen to screen. Minor imperfections in fixture finishes are inherent in our handcrafted production, giving each light vitality and authenticity. Care & Maintenance Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

Forever a flower child, the Ikebana collection evolved from the minimalist ceramic stands studio founder Michelle Aaro made to display sprigs gathered from summer walks. Dried botanicals gave way to hand-sculpted flowers, a nod to the 70s copper sculptures from her childhood and her love of metalsmithing.
