Our Abby Table Lamp is hand-built, fired, and glazed at our Cedar & Moss studio infusing it with artisan soul and one-of-a-kind character. The custom linen drum shade casts a warm, ambient glow, highlighting the beauty of the lamp’s lovely crackle glaze. Each limited-edition lamp is stamped with the mark Aaro to document its authenticity. Namesake: Abby Williams Hill (1861-1943) was an American West plein-air landscape painter and activist with an insatiable love of travel, nature, and learning.

The exclusive Japanese washi paper shades are handcrafted for us by a 90-year-old chōchin lantern atelier in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan—a region renowned for its washi paper heritage. Made from thick, premium washi, each shade embodies the depth and elegance of Japanese artistry. Every Kakishibu shade is made from sheets of washi that have been hand-dyed with traditional kakishibu dye and then painted with black sumi ink and white pigment in an abstract pattern.
