First introduced in our Mystery Knit Along with Pam Allen , the Winging It cap is knit in our alpaca/wool blend, Plover. The idea for this cap emerged from two converging inspirations. The first was an image of an elegantly elongated cap featured in Knitting in the Nordic Tradition by Vibeke Lind ( Lark Books , 1984), a style Pam had long admired and hoped to reinterpret. The second spark came directly from Plover itself.

Pam Allen albizia
This lovely hat and mitts set, is knit in three colors for a variety of combinations to suit any taste. Originally designed in Owl , our delightfully squishy wool/alpaca blend yarn, we think Albizia would be equally stunning in three shades of our worsted weight wool yarn, Lark ! Choose three variations of the same tone for a modern ombré effect, or stick with undyed neutrals, or a few pops of color. Though the pattern appears complex, you’re never holding more than two colors at a time, making this an engaging, meditative knit that results in a bright and sophisticated finish.

We love Aspen's fitted look, with simple (but striking!) colorwork in its round yoke. The joy in colorwork sweaters is always in choosing whether to go with subtle monochrome, or bold contrast. To add to the interest in the yoke, this pullover is a cool hybrid of bottom-up and top-down knitting: The body is knitted from the bottom up, with stitches cast on provisionally for the sleeves, all the way to the neck, and the sleeves are picked up from the waste yarn and knitted down to the cuffs. Quince & Co. dust jacket kit
The history of the dust jacket can be traced back to the mid-19th century as a means to shield books from dust and wear. As the 19th century progressed, publishers began to recognize the potential of the outer book cover as a promotional tool. For two more centuries, the dust jacket would continue to evolve and remains one of the most collectible assets of a book. The Dust Jacket Kit pays homage to its humble beginnings. The jacket body is worked in our sweet Chickadee using the linen stitch. The piece can be customized to fit your most treasured literary masterpiece.
