This series of paintings was created to celebrate the female purveyors behind the San Francisco restaurant, Flour + Water's, special Women's Month tasting menu. Their curious, playful natures are fascinating, and their graceful movements are full of joy. Observing them swimming in the San Francisco Bay inspired me to loosen my approach to painting and respond more intuitively to the natural world.
