This shrug is a meditative rectangle featuring a gorgeous (and simple!) stitch worked in wispy Tern . In an effort to create a simple cover-up for the shoulders and back that isn't bulky, Rhodes was designed for warmth where it's needed. On big needles, the stitch pattern blocks out quite a lot, creating a lace-y look; stitches are picked up around the blocked rectangle to work a mitered garter border, then bound off while picking up stitches held on a lifeline to create wide sleeves.
