First introduced in our former subscription program, Quince Quarterly, Canna Lily is a soft, airy lace wrap worked in linen Sparrow alongside our mohair/silk blend, Dove. The same stitch pattern takes on an entirely new character in each yarn. Sparrow’s crisp linen stitches opening like petals beside the cloud-soft halo of Dove. One lace motif, two beautifully different expressions. Inspired by the Canna Lily flower that thrives in the summer heat & humid of Charleston, SC, the delicate lace pattern and vibrant color of the wrap embody the bold, bright color of the native flower.

Kirsten Joel inlet creek
First introduced in our former subscription program, Quince Quarterly, Inlet Creek is an ethereal lace stitch scarf worked with linen Sparrow held together with our mohair / silk blend Dove. Together, the yarns strike a beautiful harmony, Sparrow adds structure and clarity, while Dove softens the stitches for an airy, luminous finish. An inlet creek is a narrow waterway between peninsulas or through a barrier island leading to a bay or lagoon. The Inlet Creek scarf embodies this narrow passageway and the soft green color of the salt marsh grass that grows along the water's edge.

Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? If so, this pattern was in your Spring 2022 box. "The ruana is one of the simplest of worn structures: a long rectangle split a little more than halfway through its length. This allows for peaceful, almost meditative knitting, and for a relaxing finished piece that can be worn as an open cardigan or shawl-like wrap. Soft and versatile Finch takes to this open, lacy gauge with ease and provides more than enough yardage to see you through your journey." …

Are you a Quince Quarterly subscriber? If so, this pattern was in your Spring 2021 Level 2 box. "As a designer who’s often most comfortable knitting for the depths of winter, when designing this set I had to consider what spring means to me, and what I look forward to. New growth is undeniably one of the things I’m drawn to the most, but the leafy lace motif used in this hat and cowl is also very geometric and repetitive, making it a soothing project to knit." …

Mari Lynn Patrick city
A trip to an iconic Fifth Ave, New York menswear shop brought about an idea for a classic rib beanie worked in luxurious, semi-bulky, yet lightweight Osprey yarn. Adding one (or two) stitches in the wide rib all around can change the style back to a man's hat (where you borrowed it from his shelf in the first place).

Sarah Pope wildcraft
"This wrap marries brioche stitch and simple lace in a design that came together as I was foraging in the local hedgerows for natural dye materials. The scrim of twiglets became a mesh of simple lace with clusters of bundled stitches, and branching lines of brioche flow through the wrap from one end to the other." - designer, Sarah Pope. Quince & Co. dust jacket kit
The history of the dust jacket can be traced back to the mid-19th century as a means to shield books from dust and wear. As the 19th century progressed, publishers began to recognize the potential of the outer book cover as a promotional tool. For two more centuries, the dust jacket would continue to evolve and remains one of the most collectible assets of a book. The Dust Jacket Kit pays homage to its humble beginnings. The jacket body is worked in our sweet Chickadee using the linen stitch. The piece can be customized to fit your most treasured literary masterpiece.
